Nickelvac 601; Ferrochronin 601.
INCONEL® alloy 601 (UNS N06601/W.Nr. 2.4851) is a general-purpose engineering material for applications that require resistance to heat and corrosion. An outstanding characteristic of INCONEL® alloy 601 is its resistance to high- temperature oxidation. The alloy also has good resistance to aqueous corrosion, has high mechanical strength, and is readily formed, machined and welded. The alloy’s nickel base, in conjunction with substantial chromium content, provides resistance to many corrosive media and high- temperature environments.
Product description:
Inconel601 alloy is nickel-chrome-iron base solid solution reinforced alloy, with good high-temperature corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance, excellent hot and cold processing and welding performance, has satisfactory thermal strength and high plasticity below 700℃. The alloy can be strengthened by cold working, or can be joined by resistance welding, soldering or brazing. It is suitable for the production of oxidation resistant parts under low loads up to 1100℃.
Product characteristics:
1. Excellent oxidation resistance at high temperatures
2. Good carbonization resistance
3. Good anti-oxidation sulfur-containing atmosphere.
4. It has good mechanical properties at room temperature and high temperature
5. Good resistance to stress corrosion cracking due to the control of carbon content and grain size, 601 has a high creep fracture strength, so it is recommended to use 601 in the field above 500℃.
Metallographic structure:
Inconel 601 is a face-centered cubic lattice structure.
Corrosion resistance:
An important property of 601 alloy is its oxidation resistance at temperatures up to 1180 ° C. Even under very harsh conditions, such as during heating and cooling cycles, 601 can produce a dense oxide film and obtain high resistance to spalling. 601 has good carbonization resistance. Due to its high chromium and aluminum content, 601 has good oxidation resistance in high temperature sulfur-containing atmospheres.
